Linux Kernel Teaching¶ This is a collection of lectures and labs Linux kernel topics. The lectures focus on theoretical and Linux kernel exploration. The labs focus on device drivers topics and they resemble "howto" style documentation. Each topic has two parts:
The Linux kernel exists in the kernel space, below the userspace, which is where the user’s applications are executed. For the user space to communicate with the kernel space, a GNU C Library is incorporated which provides a forum for the system call interface to connect to the kernel space and allow transition back to the userspace.
To build a new kenel or modify an existing kernel such as modifying process scheduler or writing a new file system, you need to get a Linux kernel source.
